La, la, la, la, la!

Today we had some very special guests join us for our morning group time. We had musical guests join each classroom and teach us about the word dynamic. We learned the word dynamic means the softness and loudness of music. Our musical guests taught us a song that some were already familiar with called 'Big Black Grizzly Bear' and taught us the 'soft' and the 'loud' parts of the song.
After we learned the song and rehearsed it a couple of times through the children got to sing it on their own. Once we were finished practicing the song we were able to play a game with our newly learned song. Instead of playing 'hot and cold' we played a version where 'hot' meant sing loud and 'cold' meant sing softly.
The children really enjoyed our guests and really enjoyed the game we played! It was a great day to sing our little hearts out! I hope you all enjoy this beautiful weather!!
