Playing in the rain!

Today was a very busy, but rainy day at school. During morning center time in the Oak room, Alex spent time rolling out the clay and then pressing a leaf into it to make an impression. Sumaya sketched pictures of a pumpkin and then filled it in with watercolor paint. In the Walnut room, Aidan and Aya transferred water from the big water table to the small water table using turkey basters and measuring cups. Jaquez and Memo explored the clear water beads and Magna-Tiles on the light table. Sarah spent time at the writing center using markers and paper. After she was finished coloring she hung the pictures on the wall with tape. During afternoon center time in the Pine room, Nikayla worked in the hair salon as a hair stylist. In the Maple room, Jace, Daniel, Sanuthi, and Kaden worked with Mrs. Gurksy using the K'Nex toys to build objects such as, robots and birds. The children were also able to spend time outside in the rain before any storms came. Destiny and Juli noticed that the rain pants made them go faster when they went down the slide.

Sarah colored four pictures at the writing center and then hung them up on the wall.

Jace and Mrs. Gursky built with the K'Nex in the Maple room. He said, "It's a robot."

Axel went down the slide in his rain pants.

E.J. didn't let the rain stop him from going outside and riding a bike.

Alex pressed the leaf into the clay and made an impression of the leaf.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, we hope to see everyone on Thursday!
